The Heart Rate Hat is a wearable computing device designed to give the user information about their heart rate. The user can input their target heart rate via Bluetooth and the hat will use this to indicate whether their heart rate is too high or too low. With an optical pulse monitor pressed to the temple, the hat calculates the           user's instantaneous heart rate and displays their relative                        heart rate using an LED array in the brim of the hat.

Overview

Once the pulse sensor is adjusted onto the temple, the user connects to the hat via Bluetooth using the Bluefruit LE app on their phone. They are asked to input their target heart range at which point the hat will begin to display heart rate information on the LEDs. Below is a demo video illustrating this process and the hats functionality.
